Family Home Destroyed

TEAR partners involved in relief efforts

20th November, 2007

On the night of Thursday 15 November, the southern coastal areas of Bangladesh were struck by the worst cyclone in over 30 years. With winds of up to 240 km/hr, Cyclone Sidr's impact was devastating. The current death toll is over 3000, and expected to rise to 10000. Millions of people have been made homeless, and vast areas of about-to-be-harvested crops have been flattened.
