Short-term exposure opportunities: Putting a face to global poverty

TEAR Australia's short-term exposure opportunities help Australians put a face to global poverty. You'll meet people whose lives are a daily struggle for survival. Hear their stories. Share their journeys. Explore ways in which Christians are responding with compassion and justice, and expose yourself to a life-changing experience.

To apply, you should be:

  • 20 years or older (18 years and older for DEEP) and in good health.
  • Willing to listen and learn from others.
  • Prepared to explore what following Jesus means in today's world.
  • Concerned about justice, poverty and cross-cultural issues.
  • Flexible and have a good sense of humour.
  • Happy to be involved in TEAR's educational work on return.
