A House Without Walls
Read Ephesians 2:11-18
Ephesians is about the struggle within history to realise God's cosmic plan for the "reconciliation of everything." It focuses on the conflict between Christ's inauguration of peace and the Powers' perpetuation of enmity (see Ephesians 1:9-21). At the heart of this struggle is the Church, having inherited Christ's vocation of peacemaking.
Babylon or New Jerusalem?
Bible Study from Target Magazine, 2007-2
For the first time in human history, more people live in cities than in rural areas. In this context, how does the call of Jeremiah 29:7, to “seek the peace and prosperity of the city”, compare with Revelation's call to flee Babylon? Which is ‘the Word’ for you or our society today?

Household Economics – A Private Matter?
Money and our household economies are usually seen as private matters. However, John the Baptist and Jesus specifically refer to such issues in their public ministries as tests of repentance and discipleship. Paul's letters to the early church contain passages with eminently practical advice about family finances and economic life.
Living Simply
May they be brought to complete unity
John 17:20-23
Recently, I travelled to Broken Hill to visit Neville Naden, the Aboriginal minister of the Far West Indigenous Church. Neville showed me around the communities in which he and his family are establishing a ministry. In Wilcannia, life expectancy among Indigenous men is 36.5 years of age! Indigenous communities are still suffering gross injustice, marginalisation and inequality, while the Indigenous ministries that seek to work among these communities are generally under-funded and on the very edge of the church’s agenda.

- Study Circle #4. Conversation and Culture - Looks at the roles of the media, political figures and Australian culture.
Whose Earth?
The opening line in this Psalm, "The Earth is the Lord's", is an incredibly confronting statement for Christians in the West, where every bit of the Earth "belongs" to those with enough wealth to "buy" it. How can we live as if we truly believed it? Can we be "right with God" while being "wrong with creation"?
