Designed for a wide variety of audiences, TEAR's educational resources will help inform, challenge, motivate and encourage you or your community to take action with the world's poor. Clinging to near-vertical slopes in the remote and mountainous Mugu District in western Nepal are some of the poorest communities in the world.

Here only 5.1% of women can read, compared to the Nepal average of 22%. Infant mortality is 201 per thousand, compared to 7–8 per thousand in Australia and 17 per thousand for Australian Aborigines. Life expectancy in Mugu is only 36 years!
