Since 1982, local Christians have been working in Teso, Uganda, to bring development and a new dawn to poor rural communities.

Through the destruction of war, civil insurgency and the quiet despair of the HIV/AIDS epidemic, Vision Terudo and the Development Secretariat of the Pentecostal Assemblies of God have responded to crisis after crisis with what can only be described as "grace under fire".

Their acts of grace have transformed the lives of hardship and suffering of child-headed households, widows and poor farmers. In this video you will see these activities and how local churches have enthusiastically embraced the tasks of mission and development. You will hear in their music the faith that sustains their work and gives them the hope that they will indeed see God "awaken the dawn".

A short Bible study accompanies this video, making it an ideal resource for small groups.
