Tom Sine, The New Conspirators
In April 2008, renowned author, theologian and futurist, Tom Sine spoke to TEAR supporters at Macquarie University, Sydney, about his new book, 'The New Conspirators'.
'The New Conspirators: Creating the Future One Mustard Seed at a Time', describes a new generation of innovators, all imagining new ways, in these uncertain times, to give creative expression to that new world that Jesus told us is already here. These new conspirators are not only creating new models but they are also raising important questions about what it means to be a disciple of Jesus, be the church and do mission, that need to be discussed by the entire church.

Tropic of Conversation
TEAR Australia staffworker, Steve Bevis has produced a new CD of songs that draw upon his experience of traveling among many of the poor communities that TEAR supports overseas and upon recent hot social and political issues in Australia such as the welcoming of refugees/asylum seekers, Reconciliation and the Iraq War.
The Tropic Of Conversation” is a collection of songs that investigate these issues from a place of spiritual commitment and a concern for the building of community. They are songs for reflection and inspiration. And the CD's rich musical environment is created by a group of wonderful musicians including TEAR's own Carlyn Chen on violin.
Provocative, challenging and inspiring, “The Tropic Of Conversation” contains songs that face head on, the burning issues of faith, politics and development in our contemporary global situation.
