About the Role

Reporting to the head of Community Engagement, the Strategic Partnership Coordinator will work closely with Churches, Christian Leaders and Influencers to grow TEAR's presence amongst the Australian Church and empower local Churches to be more actively responding to issues of global poverty and injustice.

You will -

  • Work closely with Churches and Christian leaders/influencers to increase TEAR’s influence and reach amongst the NSW Church community.
  • Nurture and grow TEAR’s strategic partnerships by shaping compelling proposals that support the work of TEAR and the local church.
  • Mobilize Christian leaders and influencers to take-action in response to poverty and injustice via TEAR’s campaigns and initiatives.
  • Oversee the relational management of TEAR’s church partnerships nationally.

About you - does this sound like you?

  • You love the church and social justice; you understand the theological basis of integral mission and how it relates to the Australian church context.
  • You are passionate about seeing the local Church become increasingly more active in responding to issues of justice and extreme poverty.
  • You pride yourself on your excellent relationship-building skills, you value others and work collaboratively to balance campaign goals with the limitations of technology.
  • You’re a good communicator and love to get out and about and tell a story.
