As the implications of COVID-19 continue to spread around the globe, Tearfund is particularly conscious of the impacts for our international partners, who work in already vulnerable communities. Our team is frequently in touch with our partner organisations throughout South Asia, South East Asia and the Pacific, and Africa. Each region is at different stages of response, but for all of our partners, this virus has presented challenges and disruptions to their usual activities. Generally, our partners’ staff are working from home, many community meetings have been cancelled and travel is extremely limited.

Many governments are maintaining essential services only, which will likely impact some of our partners' access to funding or interrupt administrative processes. Just as each of us is finding new ways to work, access services, stay connected and care for our families, our partners and the communities they work in will too. While their work on the ground may change, their commitment to be ambassadors of Christ and bearers of hope in their communities will not.

Please join us in praying for protection for communities facing poor, and wisdom and encouragement for our partners as they respond to this unfolding situation.

We are doing all we can to make sure we can continue to focus on areas of greatest need.

Will you stand with Tearfund and our partners as we bring practical help and powerful hope to the most vulnerable communities?
