We’d love to invite you to our key event for 2018 – our TEAR WA State Gathering:
TEAR Gatherings are places where old and new supporters can hear reflective and thoughtful teaching on biblical justice and provide opportunities for people to begin to formulate individual and collective responses. It's an excellent chance to fellowship with others who are similarly inclined toward the margins and God's heart for justice. We had an amazing conference in 2017 and we hope to make this year even better!
Date: Saturday July 28th, 9am – 1pm
Location: North Beach Baptist Church
Cost: $40 (concession and early bird tickets available)
This year’s key note speaker will be former TEAR Australia Director Steve Bradbury. Steve will be speaking on the topic of “The Spirit Level” and unpacking what Jesus call to be good news to the poor means for a 21st century audience.
Steve is a Welsh-born Kiwi-Australian. Married to Chris, Dad to Sarah (39) and Tom (34), and Poppa to Isabella Rose (8) and Asher Wolf (4). He is the current director of the Micah 6.8 Centre at Eastern College Australia and the course coordinator for the Master of Transformational Development. Prior to this, Steve was the National Director of TEAR from 1984 until 2009. Steve has also been the chair of the international board of Micah Challenge and Chairman of the Micah Network. Steve is also a One-eyed All Black supporter and Father-in-law to one-eyed West Coast Eagles supporter.
