Our next big advocacy moment – get involved!
TEAR is passionate about a world where all people – and the planet – can flourish. By living life differently and speaking out for change, we can be people of hope that demonstrate God’s love for our neighbour, both local and global.
Earlier in the year TEAR were part of a global team who launched the Renew Our World campaign – bringing the global Christian Church together to take action towards a more just and sustainable planet for all. We’re starting with a focus on climate change and its impacts on the poorest people who are hit first and hardest.
Our next big advocacy moment as part of our Renew Our World campaign is: The UN Climate Change Conference in November.
The Conference (also known as COP23) is being held in Bonn Germany, where 197 countries will be represented. Renew Our World leaders from many nations will be there to lead prayer and advocacy actions to continue the momentum towards implementing the Paris Climate Change Agreement.
During COP23 we will hold a worship event in Bonn on Saturday 11 November, which will flow onto a 24 hour prayer vigil. You can join us via a live stream to take part in the worship and prayer with a global community of Christians.
Join the campaign today to be kept up to date and receive an invitation to the vigil.
Our Advocacy Coordinator Jo Knight will be in Bonn as part of Renew Our World, and would love you to get involved in prayer and action. Read our blog: 5 things you need to know about COP23 and get involved.
