All donations to TEAR Australia (ABN 85 085 413 832) are tax deductible. TEAR Australia is registered as a charity with the Australian Charities and Not-for-Profits Commission (ACNC) and as a Public Benevolent Institution with Deductible Gift Recipient (DGR) status with the Australian Tax Office.

Australian Government’s Department of Foreign Affairs and Trade

TEAR Australia is fully accredited with the Department of Foreign Affairs and Trade (DFAT) and receives funding through DFAT’s Australian NGO Cooperation Program. This program recognises the unique strengths that non-government organisations (NGOs) like TEAR Australia bring to development activities and both complements and strengthens Australia’s overall aid efforts. NGOs have particular expertise, networks and reach to support the poorest and most vulnerable in communities. Australian NGOs funded through DFAT undergo a rigorous accreditation process which provides DFAT, and the Australian public, with confidence that TEAR is delivering cost effective, practical and direct poverty reduction programs. TEAR Australia is a member of ACFID, the peak Council for Australian not-for-profit aid and development organisations working to attain a world where gross inequality and extreme poverty are eradicated.
